Internal Hardware Components

Internal computer hardware consists of the components inside a computer case which make up the computer system. This includes the motherboard, central processing unit (CPU), random access memory (RAM), hard drive, power supply, and other components. The motherboard is the main circuit board of the computer and is the hub that all other components connect to. The CPU is the brains of the computer and is responsible for executing instructions and processing data. RAM is the temporary storage used by the CPU when running applications. The hard drive is the permanent storage device of the computer and is used to store all the data on the computer. The power supply converts alternating current from the wall outlet into direct current for the other components in the computer. Other components such as graphics cards, sound cards, and network cards may be added to the computer to expand its capabilities.
